What is a financial plan?
A financial plan is a written path to the achievement of your personal and financial goals. It is uniquely designed for each client based on goals and circumstances.

Why do I need a financial plan?
You need a financial plan to identify and coordinate all aspects of your financial life so that you can achieve your goals and experience the highest quality of life available to you.

What is included in a financial plan?
Creating a financial plan is a process of analyzing your entire financial life and goals. There are generally six aspects of financial planning that are addressed as needed. The first is an assessment of your current financial position. This assessment may include the construction of a statement of financial condition (assets, liabilities, and net worth), cash flow statement, and a budget. The other aspects of the financial plan are investment analysis, taxation planning, education planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. The applicable aspects relevant to your situation are combined to form your individual plan.

How is the plan put into action?
The plan is put into action through purchases or sales of financial products such as insurance and investments. The plan may also recommend changes in other areas such as savings or spending. The actions taken are done so in response to your needs and goals.

What is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional?
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional is a financial advisor who has completed an extensive educational requirement that is rigorously tested by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., in a series of exams over a two-day period. After passing the test, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate holder must complete three years of practical financial planning experience before being granted the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

What can a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional do for me?
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional can act as your personal financial coach to help you develop and implement your financial plan and encourage you to reach your goals.

Most often clients entrust the firm to manage their assets. For managing assets, we charge on a graduated scale, depending upon the amount of the assets. For clients who are interested in planning without asset management, we charge an annual retainer fee based on the client's net worth. Finally, for clients with limited planning needs, we charge an hourly fee.
